Three calculators, all free, all running entirely in your browser. No account, no email address, no tracking script, and no paywall — now or later. Each one can be embedded in your own page with a single line of HTML, and you do not need to ask us first.

EV charging cost calculator

What it costs to charge at home in your state, per year and per 100 miles, against what the same miles cost in petrol.

  • Average residential electricity price for all 50 states
  • Cost per 100 miles and cost per year
  • Reports the honest result — in Hawaii it shows charging costing more than petrol

EV road trip calculator

Simulates the drive rather than dividing two numbers: how many charging stops, how long plugged in at each, and what the trip costs against petrol.

  • Models a 10–80 percent charging curve, not peak kW
  • Counts stops, charging minutes and total added time
  • Trims the last stop so you are not paying to arrive full

Home EV charger payback calculator

Whether a Level 2 charger earns back what it costs to install — and it will say plainly when the honest answer is that it never does.

  • Asks how much you already charge at home, which most tools ignore
  • Folds fixed per-session fees into the per-kWh price
  • No expired federal tax credit baked into the result

Embedding any of them

Each calculator page carries a ready-made line of HTML you can copy. It looks like this:

<iframe src="https://zerocarbondrive.com/embed/ev-charging-cost-calculator/" width="100%" height="900" loading="lazy"></iframe>

The embedded copy is a stripped-down page with no navigation, no advertising and no analytics beyond what the whole site already uses. It carries one small credit link back to the calculator it came from, and that is the only condition attached. If you need a different height, or an embed breaks, tell us and it will be fixed.

Why these are free

Because a calculator behind a sign-up form is not a calculator, it is a lead-capture form. These pages carry ordinary advertising and that is the whole business model. There is no version with more features, no data collection, and nothing is emailed to you.

The assumptions behind each tool are written on its own page rather than hidden, because the assumptions are where these calculations usually go wrong. If you find a figure that no longer matches its source, or arithmetic you disagree with, tell us — corrections are made in the open and noted on the page. How we source and correct everything here is set out in our editorial policy, and the site is written and edited by Muhammet Çay.

Guides that go with them

The calculators answer “how much”; the guides explain why the number is what it is.
